Emperor Felix Attains Perfection!

It's been a crazy week for fans of the Seattle Mariners as they watched another perfect game in Safeco Field. But this time they were rooting for the pitcher, as King Felix dominated the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday!
Today we discuss the third perfect game of the year, then Justin attempts to stump Daniel with some Perfect Game trivia.
After Daniel makes Justin feel inadequate we move on to discuss the Mariner's recent winning streak, and the emotional roller-coaster that is the Seahawks' preseason quarterback battle!
We also discuss the problem of Performance Enhancing Drugs in Baseball, and update everyone on Adam Bighill's great game against the Rough Riders on Sunday!

Do the Seahawks have a starter?

The Seahawks' preseason schedule has officially kicked off with their 27 - 17 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Saturday! With a three way battle for the starting QB position raging, this is no normal preseason, and The Scrimmage is here to help you interpret what we learned about our competing quarterbacks.

After we break down the performances of Matt Flynn and Russel Wilson in their first game as Seahawks, we continue on to discuss the pressing question of just who of the many wide receivers in camp will be able to survive the jump to the 53 man roster as the regular season begins.

Then it's on to discuss the Seattle Mariners, and how they are making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Is jealousy behind their opposition to the proposed building of a NBA/NHL Arena in the SODO district? Why would they risk further alienating Seattle sports fans, who are already losing interest in the struggling club (at least as far as ticket sales are concerned), by fighting against the return of the NBA and possibly the acquisition of an NHL franchise?

Daniel and Justin discuss these questions, and even discuss a bit of Mariners' on-field news, before updating us on Adam Bighill's awesome performance last Monday, and briefly discussing the LA Lakers' trading for Dwight Howard.

Football Is ON!

Sunday night the 2012 NFL Pre-Season got under way with the Saints beating the Cardinals in the Annual Hall of Fame Game.
The Seahawks will play the Titans on Saturday, but we still have no indication of who will be starting that game, or the rest of the season, at quarterback!
In today's show, Justin and Daniel discuss the Seattle QB race as well as some other stories out of training camp, the US men's basketball team, Daniel's Cleveland Browns, and the great news that the Mariners may actually be turning a corner as a franchise this year!
